You will receive a shipping confirmation, along with a tracking number, once we ship. Our standard shipping method, USPS First Class, offers 2-5 day package delivery. If for some reason you have not heard from us beyond our usual turnaround time, or if you need the order you placed in a hurry, please email hello@majordarling.com. If you need a custom item faster than our usual timeframe, please consider our expedited shipping option, Priority Mail or UPS Ground when you place your order. While we cannot guarantee it, we make every effort to also speed up the production of Priority items so you can get your dog's gear ASAP!

Depending on the color and fabric type, there can be differences. Sometimes the true colors are difficult to capture. We are always happy to provide additional photos of colors that interest you. Snap collars feature a quick release buckle for easy on/off. They are great for many dogs and make ideal everyday collars. This type of collar is good too for dogs who love to play at home, daycare and dog parks with other dogs. The easy off feature means safer playtime in case 2 pups get tangled! Martingale collars have a loop of webbing where the leash attaches. This causes the collar to tighten gently when the leash is pulled -- but fits loosely on the neck when no pressure is on the leash. This provides more comfort for your dog and more control for you. We highly recommend martingales for: dogs who back out of/slip off their collars, dogs who pull on leash, flight risk dogs and dogs with wide necks. Small dogs and small senior dogs, more prone to tracheal collapse from too much pressure around the neck, are also especially suited for martingale collars. Still can't decide? We offer 2 buckle options for our traditional and Fi compatible martingale collars: black plastic and polished brass. Both make on/off easy for you and your dog! Our matte black plastic buckle is made of high quallity, yet lightweight material. This keeps noise and collar weight to a minimum while offering curved edges for your dog's comfort. Our polished brass buckle is a showstopper! It adds high shine and style to your dog's look and is built to last. It's a wonderful option for most medium and large, as well as many small size dogs. The tradeoff to this stunning look is that it is a heavier option and so, may not be suitable for pups with small necks/heads or any aches, pains or medical issues that might make the extra weight uncomfortable. A martingale collar with an added buckle means easy on/off which means more ease for you and often your dog!  A buckle also adds safety to playtime for dogs who enjoy active play with other dogs. In the event two pups become tangled up, the quick release buckle easily opens for fast collar removal.

Our collars and leashes made from flat webbing can be washed either by hand or machine. We recommend hand washing in the sink with any type of soap (dish soap, shampoo, etc) and laying flat to dry. Please do not machine dry, as this may cause shrinkage.

Our rope leashes are hand wash only, lay flat to dry.

A well fitting collar allows you to comfortably slide two fingers between it and your dog's body. We recommend watching your dog after a first fitting and readjusting as needed. Signs of a too tight collar include discomfort and difficulty breathing. Too loose? Your dog may easily slip the collar off.  

All of our collars, regardless of type, are easily adjustable. They feature a double loop adjuster, which can be slid one way to make the collar shorter, and the other way to make the collar longer.

We include the measurement of the Fi unit in our collar sizing, but for reference, the unit is about 2" long.

Every collar maker has their own sizing! Even the collar type - martingale, snap, buckle martingale, Fi compatible - can change the size your dog needs. We recommend measuring every time and reaching out to us at hello@majordarlng.com with any questions after looking at our size charts. We aim to get the fit right the first time and save you the hassle of a return process.

In-stock items typically ship within 2–5 business days. Made-to-order custom collars and leashes typically ship within 5–10 business days. These processing times do not include weekends, holidays, or carrier transit time.

Orders under $75: Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the package and selected USPS service.

Orders of $75 or more: Standard shipping is free. The qualifying subtotal is calculated after discounts and before taxes.

Expedited or upgraded options, when available, are calculated at checkout. If you need a carrier other than USPS, contact hello@majordarling.com before placing your order. Additional charges may apply.

For international orders, shipping is calculated at checkout. Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other destination-country charges are not included and are the customer’s responsibility.
